Deponent then jumped overboard and made for the land and, after a delay of two days, hired a boat to bring him to Hong Kong, where he arrived last night. The boat, with 17 men, 8 cannon, 180 taels, 57 dollars in silver, and 18 balls of opium, was carried off by pirates - total value $2,500. Deponent can identify one of the boats and two of the pirates who boarded previously. Informant leaving cannot tell the direction taken by the pirates.
